Privacy
Last updated: 2026-06-05
MyDataSights is designed as a local-first workspace. The practical privacy details depend on which surface you use: the static landing site, the desktop app, a browser-based web app, the public live example, or a self-hosted deployment you operate yourself.
1. Product telemetry
MyDataSights does not add product analytics, tracking pixels, hosted error reporting, advertising scripts, or an account system to the preview landing site or the local workspace flow. If analytics is ever added later, this notice must be updated before deployment.
2. Landing site
The product landing site at mydatasights.app is a static site.
It does not set tracking cookies and does not include product analytics.
When hosted by a provider, that provider may process normal request metadata
such as IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp, and security signals for site
delivery, security, abuse prevention, and service operation.
The current landing and live example are hosted through Cloudflare. Cloudflare processing is governed by Cloudflare's own policies: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
3. Desktop app
The desktop app stores your workspace locally by default. Filesystem access is controlled by your device and app permissions. The app does not upload your workspace data for product telemetry.
4. Browser workspace and live example
The public live example at amoderndev.mydatasights.app is a hosted, client-side web workspace seeded with selected content. Seeded content is served by the host. Where upload or paste is enabled, visitor data stays in the visitor's browser and is not stored on the host server unless a future server-backed feature clearly says otherwise.
Browser workspaces can use browser storage such as IndexedDB, LocalStorage, Cache Storage, or similar web APIs to keep workspace content, app state, cached assets, and optional model files on the device. You can clear this storage through app settings where available or through your browser's site settings.
5. Optional model downloads
Optional model downloads fetch model files to your device when you choose them. That action does not upload your workspace data. The model provider may receive normal request metadata for the download. If a model is fetched from Hugging Face, Hugging Face's policy applies: huggingface.co/privacy.
6. Self-hosted deployments
If you self-host MyDataSights, you choose the hosting method and provider. MyDataSights can document app behavior, but each operator is responsible for the privacy, logging, and retention terms of their own hosting provider.
7. AI and analyzer output
AI, OCR, summaries, analyzer output, charts, and reports are advisory. They can be incomplete or wrong and should be checked against the source material, especially for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
8. Your rights and contact
Because MyDataSights is local-first and the preview does not add product telemetry, most workspace access, portability, and erasure actions happen on your own device: export a workspace, clear app data, or clear browser site storage. For privacy requests, contact [email protected].
9. Changes
This notice may change as the product moves from preview to public release, especially if a product-hosted web app, analytics, model distribution, or server-backed feature is introduced.
